COEM offers five levels of courses with a journalism specialization, ranging from the APGP
to short term and part time courses

COEMBA
Introduction
The COEMBA is an eleven-month Master level program with specialization in Journalism. Alternate specializations are available as well as dual specializations. The trainee may avail of the additional facility of UGC Approved MBA along with the training program as well.

Eligibility
Eligibility for COEMBA is a graduate degree in any discipline, with a pass in the first year of a Masters Degree or completion of a Post Graduate Master Preparatory Program (PGMPP) OR proof of completion of 15 years’ formal schooling. Trainees who have appeared for their final examinations as applicable are eligible to apply.

Exceptions: Trainees who have passed Class XII or equivalent and whose age exceeds 25 years on 01 July, 2014; with a minimum of five year’s full time work experience; may apply for the COEMBA program.

Course Description
The COEMBA is an eleven - month; full time; career oriented Master level program with a specialization in Journalism. Alternate specializations are available along with dual specializations. A trainee pursuing this training program will not be able to pursue any other part time or full time study or training program or work.


Title Award
The title award at the end of the COEMBA program with a specialization in Journalism shall be COEMBA – Journalism. Title awards for dual specializations shall vary depending on the relevant specializations.

10 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday. Extra training / practicum beyond these hours are bound to occur.

Campus
The COEMBA program is currently conducted out of the COEM Koregaon Park campus. However, classes are bound to happen at COEM Prabhat Road campus as well as at practicum sites. COEM reserves the right to relocate any campus anywhere in Pune, with one month’s notice.

MPP

APGP

AD

Exceptions: Trainees who have passed Class X level or equivalent and whose age exceeds 21 years on 01 July, 2014; with a minimum of two year’s full time work experience; may apply for the AD program.
